BODA Therapy provides a new approach of therapy for
adolescents,

FOR ADOLESCENTS AGES 14-17
Individual goals will be created for the duration of the retreat, while participants partake both in group and individual psychotherapy. Participants will learn methods to stay calm, to express themselves effectively, to validate others and feel validated, as well as to learn to identify unhelpful thought patterns and feelings.
Through the use of role-play and other in-actions methods, participants will practice these methods in scenarios that play out in real life, especially family interactions. The acquisition and strengthening of the skills will be gamified, thus resulting in more buy-in from participants to learn and practice these skills long term. The use of these skills will then be demonstrated in a family session at the end of the retreat.

FOR ADULTS
Generally speaking, adults can struggle not only within their families but also in other areas of their lives. BODA Therapy helps adults to engage more effectively with their families, within their friend groups, with their bosses, in their communities and amongst their peers at school and work. To do so, BODA focuses on learning and strengthening skills to stay calm, communicate effectively, validate others, and identify negative thought patterns and feelings as they manifest.
In addition, BODA Therapy focuses on helping adults create meaning in their lives. Nature is a fitting environment to pursue that goal!
Adult participants will have a greater agency in co-designing their BODA experience to meet their particular needs. At the same time, participants will learn the BODA core skills mentioned above, in addition to skills to help participants create structure, create meaning, find purpose, identify goals, and build a roadmap to accomplish those goals. As always, this work will be family-centered, immersive, and activity-based, thus resulting in more buy-in from participants to learn and practice these skills long term.

FOR families
Prior to the retreat, Individual family members triggers, difficult family dynamics, unhelpful family patterns, and other salient data shall be collected. BODA teaches these skills to the family unit as a whole, and then facilitates the practice of these skills in already identified contexts and situations. As always, this work will be immersive, and activity based, thus resulting in more buy-in from family members to learn and practice these skills long term.

FOR groups
Prior to a group retreat, a global needs assessment will be completed to help determine the goals of the group. While some groups might solely focus on effective group communication, other groups might need to develop distress tolerance skills. Each group experience will be individually curated to meet the particular needs of the group.
